馬國棟 牧師 在北美念佈道學的時候看到一篇文章，藉此互勉：

岸上滿是魚鉤，海里群魚也很飢餓，漁夫們卻在岸上一直開大會小會、國際性會議，討論有關釣魚的方法——如何吸引魚群、了解魚群特性、探討捕魚的策略等。這些『漁夫』始終沒有去釣魚。漸漸的，他們也發展了『釣魚學系』，教導學生怎樣去釣，這些學生雖然很欣賞前輩捕魚的理論，但也只是停留在『欣賞』而沒有去釣魚。魚開始有餓死的，漁夫們知道這是非常時期，但仍在焦急的在研討方法，終於有一位學生忍不住嘗試用一些所學到的簡單方法去釣，果然釣了幾尾小魚，大家都非常驚訝，極其欣賞他的成就，因此就邀請他到大小會議中分享，巡迴訓練，慢慢地他也沒空去釣魚了。

Evil is never good, but the existence of evil can be good when it’s used to accomplish the will of God. Affliction is good when it humbles us to God.

The existence of evil is good when it restrains our evil. If there’s anything that can hinder God from using us, it’s not Satan, and it’s not the environment; it’s our pride.

Wisdom is knowing what’s good and evil. The fear of God is the beginning of knowing what’s good and evil in God’s eyes. In order to know what’s good and evil to God, we need to know God, and the way to know God is to know God in Christ.

智慧是能分別善惡。敬畏上帝是知道上帝眼中之善惡的開端。若我們要知道上帝的善惡觀，我們需先認識上帝，而認識上帝的道路就是在基督里認識祂。
