“上帝知道我是无神论者”

俄共时代，总书记赫鲁雪夫 (Nikita Khrushchev) 向来心直口快，行事风格蛮横。有一次，记者问他：“你口说没有神，我们怎么知道你心里面真的是无神？”
赫鲁雪夫回答说：“上帝知道我是无神论者。”（God knows I am an atheist.）

他还说：“我们苏联太空人在外太空绕了绕，没看见什么上帝。”

葛理翰牧师 (Billy Graham) 回应说：“这好像一只蚯蚓白天从土里伸出头来，探了一探，说：‘哪有星星？没看到啊！’（It is like an earthworm stretching his head out of the ground in the daytime looking aroundand saying “Where are the stars? I don’t see any!”）然后就缩回土里。”

侍奉的三个秘诀

作神的仆人最重要的三个秘诀：1) 谦卑   2) 谦卑   3) 谦卑
谦卑的意思：
  1. 无止境地追求真理；
  2. 从来不满足自己、竭力向标杆直跑，不骄傲、不自卑；
  3. 继续不断地把荣耀归给上帝；
  4. 俯就更卑微的人；
  5. 常常依靠上帝，不依靠自己，寻求主的面、尊主为大、以主的心为心、做主的工作。

成圣与律法

“圣经提示我们信徒成圣的一种特殊模式。每一个信徒都必须追求圣经所要求我们的善行。这些善行是按照上帝的道德律 (moral law) 来完成的 (西敏信仰告白 16:1；海德堡要理问答 115)。在基督徒的生活中，善行有许多重要的原因，不只是作为 “真实活泼信心的果实和证明” 与 “坚固我们的信心” (西敏信仰告白 16:2；比利时信条 24)。我们对上帝的顺服是一种责任、也是一种喜乐。我们遵守上帝的律法，既是因为我们必须遵守，也是因为我们想要遵守。”

“… The Bible alerts us to a particular pattern for the believer’s sanctification. Every believer must pursue those good works that the Bible requires of us. These good works are done in obedience to the moral law of God (see WCF 16.1; HC 115). Good works are important for many reasons in the Christian life, not least to serve as “the fruits and evidences of a true and lively faith” and to “strengthen [our] assurance” (WCF 16.2; compare Belgic Confession 24).
