“Believing God” vs. “Believing in God”

I agree that “believing God” means trusting God, and “believing in God” means believing there is God or believing that God is real. The point is, if one truly believes that God exists or God is real, he or she will believe everything God says. Therefore, believing in God implies believing God, and vice versa. Actually, those two phrases are both used in the Bible. For example:

John 5:24 = “believes Him who sent Me”
John 6:29 = “believe in Him whom He has sent”

John 3:16 = “… everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life.”

Hebrews 11:6 = “And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.”
